Assassin's Creed: Unity revealed

Hahaha yeah that was the intention, and how it was in the book. But in the movie it was hilarious, just sitting round the fire - "i can speak your language now" hahaha. Awesome.

Actually wasn't it, "I listeeeeeened"?

Edit: Man, been a good 15 years or so since I saw this movie and I was right, though not as drawn out as I originally thought. (2:48 mark)

Hahaha this is great, thanks for posting! :D I remembered it wrong, this is even better, though they do try to make it seem like it took him quite a while to learn the language.

Maybe i should use the magic Martian water scene from 2012's John Carter instead as an example?

I like what I see out of this next AC game, I'll be getting it for sure when the time comes but one thing I just have to bring up, the whole facial animation bit, "never before done".  Yeah that's BS, it's like they forgot LA Noire exists.

Two AC games in one year! Man Ubisoft are churning out the games this year.

I'm never going back to Last Gen AC. It's pretty much the same thing since AC III (which was terrible). AC IV was a bit better, but it's probably the same thing with Rogue.

I'm with you, I'm moving on to Unity, probably on the PC yet again and not one of the next gen systems.

I like what I see, good that they're dropping any idea of linear missions, just tell me who I have to kill and let me do it my own way, like hitman.  It was good to hear in the little gameplay video that there's lots of different ways into that place, etc.

I kinda want to know more about Co-Op. tbh.

Co-Op in this should be very interesting now because think about it, if every mission is a big sandbox and you can get into places from multiple points etc then you could, in theory, have each person doing his/her own thing and have a coordinated plan of attack going on.   Way more interesting then just playing through a mission that's very linear with friends.

On the other hand the biggest critic against the first two games was that they where non non linear so everything was the same. every sandbox needs some linearity to it to build the story and bind it together to not make everything an mmo like grind

Well that's the thing, is it kinda like Gears? Where you can play through the whole story with others or are only some selected missions that are co-op only? From what the video told me they give you a target and you can approach the target however you want. It's still linear in a way that you have to kill said target to move on forward with the story, I don't really have a problem with that as long as I can plan it with my friends to kill that one target. I really hope it's jump in 4 player co-op. If it' selected missions that are co-op that wouldn't really be next-gen of game play imo.

If it has any story to it at all it's going to be a bit linear, but I hardly think of a game saying kill so and so or do this and that anyway you want as being linear.  I play for the story anyways so I don't mind this, otherwise you're just left with a generic MMO type RPG or something.

I've never bothered with season passes since most of the time the DLC is for multiplayer stuff and never any good SP that expands the story.  But I'm tempted this time with Unity, I'll have to keep on eye on this closer.

Definitely a season pass that I can get behind. The side scrolling game looks interesting. If they keep this up I'll be buying the game day one along with the season pass.

I just finished 3  :D

So I think I'll try to go through 4 before I get 5.

4 is the biggest one so far, depending on if you try to get all the side stuff it'll take some time.  I think I was around the 60hr mark, give or take, by the time I finished it.   It's one of the reasons why I'm fine with paying full price for these games, I know for sure I'll get lots out of it in the end.   By the time I got around to getting it though the price had dropped, only paid ~20euros for it, good deal.

AC Unity is a new start for the franchise. It's won't be connected to the Kenway saga. So you could literally skip 4 and go to 5 if you wish. Unless you are talking about Rogue, which is still in the Kenway saga. I personally won't be getting Rogue, because I never really liked the Kenway saga. I loved the Desmond/Altaiir/Ezio saga though.
