- this may actually be a good thing. A valuable way to spend your time; it will be worth it in the future.

I probably classify under some of that description, but I don't feel the need to classify an avoidance technique as an addiction.

 

People suck, my computer doesn't, works for me.

 

Wow! I feel sorry for you thinking that people in general suck! No wonder the world SUCKS so badly!

That's me! Had depression as far back as I can remember.

 

/played 4 days and 6 hours during the last 7 days of WoW.

Exactly what I was thinking. Marathon programming/gaming sessions aside, I still spend more time with my computer than anything else. Computers are the new TV. At least we can do interesting things with them and learn stuff. That's better than staring at a TV for hours on end. Though to be fair, I do watch quite a few of shows/movies on my computer too :D
