Can't say I've seen one available to buy but I have seen some 2x Intel or Intel + Broadcom or 2x Marvel recently in mATX form.

Looks ok to me (Never revision Intel chipset than the one I posted but not a reference board) - I would check to see exactly what Atheros NIC model is in there and whether pfsense/FreeBSD has any issues with it at present.

the Subermicro here in canada is 223.99 way over priced IMO

using the adds another 100$ to the bill

the last board you need to add a CPU, no need to with this one, also this board use's no more than 10watt of power. If this is a 24/7 build you want something that low on the powerbill.

But with a Intel Pentium G3220 and GIGABYTE GA-H87N-WIFI the cost is less plus the CPU goes idle saving power so its not using 54W all the time which is not that must.

Your choosing board has two diffrent nics

  1. Intel? GbE LAN chip (10/100/1000 Mbit)(LAN1)
  2. Atheros? GbE LAN chip (10/100/1000 Mbit)(LAN2

Not the greatest idea!
