Just to ask, are you referring to the times before ID@Xbox was announced? If so, it wasn't a change but more-so Sony being publicly ready to distribute than information faster to the Indies.

That may be true, but most don't care about that piece of info.  To most publicly, it looks like MS was just reacting to Sony, not that they had any plans before Sony laid out their ideas.

Although from a general perspective if not much reading was done into the matter that conclusion can be drawn, for discussions sake, use true understanding rather than perspective.

I think it should be noted that a number of Valves VR people have left to join Oculus now.    It seems only the vocal internet minority is so against FB owning them.

This is a lovely little bit of gaming satire courtesy of Blizzard.

One of there in game World of Warcraft dungeons "The Oculus" share`s a name with a certain piece of hardware that appears heavily in this thread.

Anyways, as part of there FAKE patch notes for there new expansion "Warlords of Dreanor"

We have...

Due to recent acquisitions, The Oculus is temporarily inaccessible.

Zuckerberg tried out PS4 VR headset a week before Oculus VR acquisition

http://www.polygon.c...culus-vr-buyout

Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg went hands-on with Sony's virtual reality headset, Project Morpheus, a week before buying VR headset manufacturer Oculus VR, Gamespot reports PlayStation marketing executive Guy Longworth as saying.

Speaking during a Games Marketing Summit 2014 session, Longworth recalled how Zuckerberg asked, "Can I have a tech demo?" for Project Morpheus and how he was curious why Zuckerberg was interested in seeing Sony's headset.

He bought Oculus Rift a week later, I think it was more than merely 'Geek' interest. He must believe VR will sell if he invested in it.
