A police department spokesman said police found several razor blades glued to various pieces of equipment at the park, at 5101 Archer Drive, just before 1 p.m. Monday, March 24, 2014. ?Officers collected the razor blades and other evidence,? according to a statement from East Moline Police Captain John Reynolds. Reynolds said a two-year-old child was injured. The child?s mother says he will be okay. Anyone with information about the incident is asked to contact Capt. Back when i was playing in playgrounds (early 80's :p) this was always one of those folklore tales told by older kids to scare the younger kids. If i recall rightly, no razors were ever found. Back when i was playing in playgrounds (early 80's :p) this was always one of those folklore tales told by older kids to scare the younger kids. If i recall rightly, no razors were ever found.I read about this last week sometime and saw photos. While the photos could have been staged, there were definitely razors glued on to playground equipment. Top Qat Posted March 31, 2014 Share Posted March 31, 2014 Nothing new, this used to happen in my local park (in the UK) when I was just a young lad (some 40 years ago /oldfart ) Some idiots used to place razor blades in the joints between the parts of the large metal slide in the play area.
