Hospital staff in the northern Serbian town of Pozarevac where shocked when a Romanian woman entered there, gave birth and then secretly left abandoning the baby.

The healthy girl was born, but now the staff of Vojislav Dulic Hospital have a problem what to do with the baby.

The 33-year-old Romanian woman obviously just used them for a free service and has left.

"It appears she has left to us wrong info regarding the documentation of health insurance to cover hospital expenses", hospital director Srecko Bosic has told to daily newspaper Telegraf.

The hospital has already asked the responsible Centre for Social Service to take care of the baby.

"However such a process sometimes lasts even for one year and we have to take care of the baby in the meantime", Srecko Bosic has revealed.
