Update: Sony has provided a brief statement on the departure of Justin Richmond. "SCEA can confirm Justin Richmond has left Naughty Dog to pursue other opportunities," a Sony representative told us via email. "The development timeline of Uncharted will not be impacted."

Original Story:

Naughty Dog has lost another member of its creative team. Justin Richmond, game director of Uncharted 4, has left the studio.

Richmond confirms the news to IGN, saying that he has joined League of Legends developer Riot Games. Richmond?s past work includes Uncharted 2?s multiplayer, and he also directed Uncharted 3. He was employed at Naughty Dog since 2008 according to his LinkedIn profile.

This follows the departure earlier this month of writer Amy Hennig, who most recently penned the Uncharted series.

We?ve reached out to Sony and Naughty Dog for comment on Richmond?s departure and how this might impact the development of Uncharted 4.

Damn there is seriously some internal conflict on where to take the game - I wonder if Druckman wanted to start beefing Uncharted up to be more like The Last of Us (gorey/darker) and not everyone wants to go away from the Indiana Jones teen style handling of things?
