A real chupacabra?

dog with mange ?

This animal does not sound like any dog I've ever heard.

Should be easy to DNA it.

Who said anything about a dog? Could be just a sick, bald raccoon.

But still, ###### logical thinking. Definitely a chupacabra!

It looks exactly like a raccoon with a disease.

K9? seriously? Since when do k9's use their front legs that way? The exact way a raccoon eats....

Oh, and raccoons most certainly do make those noises when threatened. I had two fighting in a tree outside my house last year.

They made some very disturbing noises.

The so-called biologist interviewed in the video said 'likely canine'.

Canidae, domestic dogs, wolves, foxes, jackals, coyotes ...

He was talking about the canine species, including the foxes, wolves, jackals and anything alike a dog. Not specifically a dog.

Neither did he exclude a dog.

Any good Vet should be able to quickly confirm mange. ;)

Yeah, it's too bad they didn't have one for the interview and only this idiot who thinks it's a canine.

Since the first story by KAVU aired, the Stocks say people from across the country contacted them with questions about the mysterious creature. Because the Dewitt County Game Warden determined the animal to be a raccoon, on Thursday the couple was given 48 hours to either release the animal or euthanize it, or they would face fines. NBC News reported that on Friday, Mike Cox, spokesman for the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department said, "The land owner left a message on the warden's voice mail this morning that the animal had been euthanized."

So it wasn't a chupacabra? Damn it!

The first reports I've read describes it something like this:

It can walk upright.
