medium_pimpin
So, I have several workstations, laptops, tablets, phones, etc all connected with both wires and wi-fi. My work laptop is connected via wire. Whenever I get an update to this machine, that my company pushes down, it will auto reboot. It will usually go dark and requires a power off and on before it will come back up. However, when this happens, until I to a force reboot, ALL network traffic stops. My home PC cannot see the router, which it's also wired too. All wireless connections are unavailable. I can reboot the router and modem and it does nothing. As soon as I force the laptop off, all traffic resumes and all connections are reestablished. Granted, the laptop is a POS. But why would it hanging impact all connected devices on my network? Thanks!
+BudMan MVC Posted April 5, 2014 MVC Share Posted April 5, 2014 Its flooding the network with crap? Its taken on the IP address of your router? Your using this laptop as your dns? There are lots of different things that could be going on that could cause problems - it flooding your network with crap would be my first guess.
