OneDrive Help

Recommended Posts

Don't know if it's possible but this is what I would like to achieve.

I uploaded all my pictures to my OneDrive storage.

I shared certain folders with my girlfriend.

First, she can only see them with the web version of Onedrive. The SkyDrive app doesn't show any of the shared folders.

Is there a way for my girlfriend to see those folders, make them available offline, and when she adds, removes or edits any of the offline pics can they be synced back to my Ondrive storage?

So in short, can I share a OneDrive folder, that other people can also access offline and make changes too which will be updated on my OneDrive

Some help would be really appreciated

Sounds like you need Dropbox.

I'm well invested in the MS eco system, so if possible I would like to keep using MS tech.

Saves us installing extra software. Plus we both have a fair amount of free storage on Onedrive

I would find it silly to purchase more from somebody else at this point

The only thing I can think of is make another MS account just for sharing pics with your gf. You get 8GB to start and if you enable OneDrive camera backup, you get another 4GB.

Come on, this is a site made for windows users, any help on how to achieve this would be welcome.

I can't believe this is not possible with MS technology.

This seems like the perfect reason to have your pics in the cloud, no?

Can I achieve something similar with MS Tech or not? Anybody?

PS: I want help :)

You sir, have just made my day! :)

I realize it's not a solution, but my problem will be solved in the near future. I can wait it out.

So, now that I know my problem will be solved at some point.

Does anybody have any idea when MS is planning to release this update to OneDrive to include the option of co-ownership of folders?

I've looked around a bit on the internet, found a fair amount of articles about this, but they all are from early February. Since then no more news.

Anybody got any info?

This is just a guess but i'm guessing when windows 8.1 update comes out. On window 7 machines and earlier skydrive has been updated to Onedrive but on windows 8 machines and higher they haven'y been updated yet so I'm guessing it's going to roll into that update which is on the 8th.
