Sapphire R9 270X TOXIC 2GB or Sapphire R9 270X OC 4GB

Okay so I can't decide between the two... mainly because I have no idea what I'm looking for. All I can see is the 2GB 270X Toxic has 2GB less memory for ?15 more but I know that there will be A LOT more to it than just the amount of memory. As far as I'm aware Toxic is there more high end line, right? If so then which of the two would everyone recommend? If you really don't think it's a great card and can suggest something for the same price then I'd be happy for that input as well but please don't just comment saying "AMD LOL, GET NVIDIA YOU IDIOT!". Ohh and I've checked and my case can easily accommodate the Toxic version!

First things first - both of those cards are cheaper on Amazon, and they have much better customer service than eBuyer, so I would buy from there.

 

And after looking at this discussion, I would say go for the Toxic card. Better cooler, etc.

The 4GB one has a a slightly lower clock speed. 1020/1070 Mhz vs 1110/1150MHz. Similarly it also has a slightly lower memory bandwidth 5600Mhz vs 6000 Mhz.

Ahh thanks, I'll get reading through that thread! I was kinda hoping that the Toxic version would be the better choice since it looks infinitely cooler, no pun intended :P Also I hadn't started looking at other sites for prices yet but thanks for the heads up :)!

Is the Toxic faster? Yes. Is it worth the ?15-20 price difference? No. You can easily overclock the other one yourself.

I ordered the Toxic edition from Dabs, it cost me ?2 more with delivery but from Amazon it wouldn't be here till Wednesday/Thursday and from Dabs it will be here before 12 on Tuesday so didn't mind the extra. Thanks for the help!
