You trying to get data off the hard drive ?

You can take out the drive and perhaps install it in an external case.

Call Electronic Discount.  They have a sort of museum in the store - I have seen a 10KB IBM hard drive there the size of a washing machine.

Thanks, Is there a chance that they have Packard Bell Computers?

Call them? Also check eBay, Craigslist and the like - you should be able to find Packard Bell items on there for a low prize.

Wish I can help with your hobby buddy.  I just can't stand their product and yeah it's outdated.  So I don't keep any of their old parts.  As a matter of fact, I build my own.  If I live anywhere near, I may find a way to help you out on that journey.  Good hunting bud.

Update: I called Electronic Discount Sales, and they had a PAckard Bell 3.1 Software Collection, but it was not for resale which is illegal. I then emailed them about the action that they will do to it. I do not live in Texas sadly. eBay's shipping prices are very expensive and I trying to find some other way. I want to avoid eBay at all costs. Thank You.

OK so you could email the CEO of Acer. They now own a large stake in packard bell. I am sure they would be able to provide details of anything you want and may have old stuff they would send you if you ask nicely.

My first PC was a Packard Bell (can't remember the model) that I bought at Circuit City.

233mhz Pentium

32mb RAM

4gb HDD

56k modem

I still have the monitor because every once in a while I use it with a Sega Dreamcast running through a VGA converter and it looks great. Perfect shape except the letter "B" in the logo was wearing off so I rebranded it with the letter "H" lol

Update: Got the Platinum 1 with original keyboard, mouse, and software collection :). It needs some work (missing power supply) and (floppy drive not connected) etc. I might need some help to fix it. If anybody has these items please let me know thanks.
