Peaches Geldof dies aged 25

Her dad's famous; ergo she was considered famous too.

well that's a bit simplified as at least in her joke country she was somewhat known as well. Look at what she's been doing for work and who she is/was married to.

I feel bad for her kids.  I mean, look the way Paula passed away, you'd have thought someone would have had an eye on Peaches.

But, yeah she was a known cocaine and heroin user, but also speculation is depression leading to suicide.  I care little for her, same as I felt about her mother - but, her kids, and poor Bob.  Bet he bloody hates Mondays now...

As for "I'd never heard of him", well that's pretty much on you.  He organised Live Aid, was a knight of the British Empire, a massive campaigner and a ###### singer.

I only had heard of her via a couple of songs. Shame she's dead, it's always sad to see people die so young.

EDIT: Nevermind, I had her confused with a recording artist also known as "Peaches."

It's a shame... But I sorta always knew she'd go like her mother did. I wouldn't want to say with certainty that it's drugs related but healthy 25 year olds don't usually tend to fall over dead. Having said that, look at Britney Murphy.

He's more famous though for being the lead singer of The Boomtown Rats, and co-founding Band Aid, Live Aid and Live 8. Through those, he's helped raise hundreds of millions of pounds for charity.

I guess Bob Geldof is only really popular in the UK. I'm just interested to know what exactly she died of.. as 25 is unusually young and she apparently seemed okay last week.

For all you people who don't know who her family is :

Her Dad was Bob Geldof, famous for organizing and promoting Live Aid for Africa. a dual-venue concert held on 13 July 1985. He also wrote and sang with a group of peformers including Michael Jackson, "We are the Children" with all proceeds going to Ethiopia famine.  The event was organised by Bob Geldof and Midge Ure to raise funds for relief of the ongoing Ethiopian famine in the late 80's and Also, he  played the character "Pink"  in Pink Floyd's The Wall Movie, based on the hit  multi-platinum selling album.

Her mother, Paula Yates, a British TV personality and writer, was separated from her husband, Bob Geldof, when she was dating, living with  Australian rock singer Michael Hutchence, of INXS, when he unfortunately died/killed himself in 1997.

Paula Yates, as well, unfortunately killed herself from a heroin overdose in 2000.

I would say the family has had some issues.  The strong person being Bob Geldof.

I understand that, but The Wall is a fairly well known movie. For those who can't connect his face with the benefit work he has done, connecting with the character we see frequently in that movie may help jog their memory.

For those big events, it is more common to remember the bands than the people who moved mountains behind the scenes to make the event happen.

Hmm.. Never heard of her. She was pretty hot though. She looked pretty thin in his other photos like she was on something.

Or an unknown / undetected aneurysm, but agree that drugs could be a factor.

No.  It doesn't happen "a lot" at all.

Point of correction - He wrote (with Midge Ure) and sang on 'Do they know it's Christmas' which was the song that kickstarted the whole Live Aid movement. Lionel Ritchie and Michael Jackson wrote 'We are the World' as the US response when they saw that these things really boosted your career...
