Make any web page or selection pretty?

Recommended Posts

Hi,

I primarily use Chrome and FF for both work and personal work. While visiting different websites or reading articles online I noticed that some of the web pages are just not pretty or does not make me feel quite at home. So, I was wondering if there was a plugin/addin of some sort that might allow me to change the style of a web page or a selection. I enjoy reading if the contents use a particular font, size, colors or even the formatting (e.g. 2 columns), etc...

GreaseMonkey is good, as Lingwo said. You could also try out Stylish:

Chrome: https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/stylish/fjnbnpbmkenffdnngjfgmeleoegfcffe?hl=en

Firefox: https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/stylish/

Also look at some of the user created styles. You might find one for some of the sites you have been looking at.

Excellent suggestions! It's been a while since I played with GreaseMonkey, excited to see what might be new :P. Stylish is excellent! Already revamped Wikipedia, Google and Stackoverflow... i'm curious if there's anything for Neowin :P

Stylish is better suited if you just want to modify the appearance of the webpage using CSS. If you want to add some custom behavior you can do it using greasemonkey
