Cosmin
Hy. Just bought a new Memory Dimm for my actual system (at the beginning was only one inside) and I'd like to be sure that were correctly fitted for a dual-channel configuration. Motherboard - H87-PRO - memory dimms are actually inserted into yellow slots. It's ok?
Mindovermaster Moderator Posted April 7, 2014 Moderator Share Posted April 7, 2014 Actually, It doesn't really matter, as long as you use the 2 yellow or black slots. In mine, I'm using 2 and 4 slots, because my heatsink covers the first slot on left.
snaphat (Myles Landwehr) Member Posted April 8, 2014 Member Share Posted April 8, 2014 Install them as the manual recommends (in A2 and B2 - two isn't a typo, they say install them there if you have dual modules). A and B denote the channels according to the manual. EDIT: yeah it looks like you are saying you installed them like that, so it is correct according to the manual.
