Xbox One controller issues

Recommended Posts

My controller has been randomly disconnecting (un-syncing) itself for about the past 4-days or so now.

Crazy part is, my controller is always fully charged (play/charge battery pack) when this happens.

Has anyone else have/had this issue.?

I think the April update has a fix for this issue.

Haven't had this yet...are you sure the batteries are sitting snug in there? The battery compartment cover is surprisingly flimsy for such a robust and excellent controller. It's buiilt like a tank (i should know having already dropped it majorly), but even from day one i thought the batteries did not sit there securely enough. Also do the usual hard reset thing for the console, it's not a bad idea to have that done weekly or so.

I am part of the preview program and can confirm that they new controller update in the April update fixes that. I have not had it happen since I updated my first controller. My second one I have not updated still does it.

The controller is on when it Un-Sync's.. light is on and all.  A live controller that is no longer communicating with the console...

Yes, that could happen if the batteries loosen inside. Not saying there is no other possible cause nor am i defending MS engineering here heh heh, it could well be an issue with actual syncing. Just saying the batteries do move around and if they lose contact, then your controller will de-sync. Then the batteries regain contact, and your controller seemingly stays on. It is possible.
