Desktop Speakers

Recommended Posts

I am looking to upgrade my speaker setup for my desktop. I have set of very old (namless) speakers with a small subwoofer. I mostly listen to music and watch movies/tv shows with them so nothing too over the top but something with decent bass and sound. Would be nice to have the sound loud to spread through house (room is in the middle of the house..).

Recommendations please!

(sub $200-250 if possible)

"No Highs, no Lows - must be Bose."

Logitech and Corsair make really decent speakers that are priced well.  If space is an issue - those Bose 3 are OK.

I am not a fan of Bose, however my car's stereo is all Bose, which sounds good...Im such a hypocrite.

I've always been a fan of Creative's 2.1 systems. An adjustable bass control is a must (I have mine sent to about 1/3).

Last year for myself at Christmas I bought a Harman Kardon SoundSticks III 2.1 system but was quite disappointed with it (form over function). Treble was way to high, and bass sounded muffled. Will sell it soon.

As mentioned above, the Logitech Z-623 is also a great system.

I recently bought a pair of Q-Acoustic 2010i's and a used amp, they're the best speakers I've ever had hooked up to my PC :)

Everything I play through them sounds fantastic and don't let the size fool you, their bass is amazing.

Can't find them on the US Amazon oddly though :S
