I have been out of the Desktop market for a few years now! Shame On me I know!! I thought it was a good price for the spec. I am not going to be a heavy gamer so...

As Peter said, it will be pretty cramped in that case but if you ever do want to add a GFX card or want better cooling you can easily move it into another case. As far as budget PC's go it looks pretty good, normally the RAM in them is 1333Mhz, or from what I've seen at least, so looks pretty good and the reviews seem pretty favorable! I'm sure that you'll know this but it doesn't come with an OS so you'll have to make your own arrangements for it.

that mainboard has only a PCI-Express slot, so no Crossfire / SLI. Also the onboard gfx is very weak to play newer games (only directx 10). You can insert a newer card but it depends if the box supports it (i couldn't see it's back so i dunno).

As others have said, spec's and price look okay.  Personally I would be a little nervous buying from an indie.  If building your own is out of the question take a look at this; http://www.overclockers.co.uk/productlist.php?groupid=43&catid=2476&subid=2563 might take a little longer to get the PC and perhaps cost a little more, but you won't have any issues with support if there is a problem.

pfff...

- 8GB 1600mhz DDR3 RAM

- 1000GB

Coulda just put 1.6GHz and 1TB.. instead of putting the long number to make it look amazing lol

RAM clock are always written in mhz.

So, I have a question, as per build if I read this correctly, WINDOWS 9 will be free to device makers. Does that mean us enthusiasts too?

Here is a tip I think might help.  I know this isnt for gaming, but 1 way to tell if a generic prebuilt machine is of any quality is the type of PSU.

If they care about their quality/reputation they wont put in some chinese-mase generic POS PSU.

Thats my theory.

Or if the say only a "500W PSU", you know it's going to be crap.
