Ironman273
With sales opening up today I was wondering if anyone is going to get Google Glass. I can't think of a reason to have one right now and the price is steep.
timster
just get a piece of glass and write Google on it ... problem solved and $1500 saved! bigmehdi, Thief000, DConnell and 8 others 11 Share
Nick H. Supervisor Posted April 15, 2014 Supervisor Share Posted April 15, 2014 I would love to get my hands on one, but I'm going to wait for a while. djdanster 1 Share

spacer
No interest, what so ever. Also, $1500 is pretty steep.
riahc3
Didn't even know it was going on sale today. I prefer a sunglasses version and/or a contact lens version. I do not wear glasses or contact lens at all so...

Hum
Seems to me it would invite unwanted attention, harassment, and possible theft. +Anarkii, webeagle12 and cleverclogs 3 Share
tsupersonic
No interest. This would have to be $100-200 to even gain my attention. $1500 for beta testing? No thanks +LogicalApex 1 Share
DConnell Member Posted April 15, 2014 Member Share Posted April 15, 2014 No interest at that price, especially since I'm moving away from Google services in general. Depicus and BertilDator 2 Share
techbeck
Na, no interest in it. Plus, to be one of the first to have it, price is to steep. Will wait to see what the consumer price is and even then I wont get it unless I find a use for it. Have enough tech as it is collecting dust. mps69
Seems to me it would invite unwanted attention, harassment, and possible theft. The same was said about smart phones when then first came out. Now they are an every day thing. I'd like to take Google Glass for spin, but think the novelty fact would wear of quickly.
djdanster
Give me a left eyed version, then we'll negotiate a nice price!
Skyfrog
Negative. The chances of me ever getting one are zero. Hum 1 Share
zhangm Supervisor Posted April 15, 2014 Supervisor Share Posted April 15, 2014 No, it sounds like an interesting experiment, but there are other tech purchases lined up for when/if I have 1500$ of disposable income to spend.

xendrome
Hah so for anyone keeping track.... even the prices on the accessories are outrageous. $50 for a protective pouch. (It's a bag with a string) $75 for a protective case (it's one of those soft camera cases with a zipper) $75 for a clear shield that you can use instead of tinted lenses or perscription (piece of plastic worth .07 cents.) $85 for stereo earbuds (umm ok) Brandon H, Ice_Blue and astropheed 3 Share

I doubt these will be the prices after it is released to the general public. No way anything will sell if so.
DConnell Member Posted April 15, 2014 Member Share Posted April 15, 2014 The question I have here is: Why should I pay $1500 to beta-test their product for them?

xrobwx71
No. don't have the extra $1500 to spend. IRS took it a few months ago.But will wait until pricing goes down and perhaps then.
Rippleman
Give me a left eyed version, then we'll negotiate a nice price! i never actually though of that... sitting here thinking if i had one, i would actually agree with you... imagining it being in my right eye seems in-the-way.... left eye for sure
DConnell Member Posted April 15, 2014 Member Share Posted April 15, 2014 Hopefully the production version will be in left & right side versions, or switchable. I can't use anything audio-related on my right side, since I'm hard of hearing on that side. Right-handed, but left-eared. :)
