ESXI 5.5 get my edit back

I recently updated my exsi servers to version 5.5 and Im sure in my upgrade process I updated the machine versions also.

 

Is there a way to downgrade them to version 9? These are unfortunately production servers, but I can back and restore or replicate with veeam if that helps. I'm at a loss and don't have the budget to get another management server up and working just to change settings when it worked last version.

 

Sorry rant over. Can anyone help?

"To get a machine to 9, just upgrade it goes to 10. You remove from inventory - edit the xml, I do it via ssh to the esxi box and then bring it back into your inventory. Its a one time thing, and take all of 30 seconds to do.."
