From IOS to Android

Recommended Posts

So i just ordered a Nexus 5, so excited. One thing i'm going to need is some apps that can replace the ones i use at the moment. I listen to music a lot on my phone but i do it all through iTunes, i like to have the album covers and it to be sorted correctly. Shall i just drag and drop it or shall i get double twist, is it any good? I also use a app called iBank to track what my accounts are doing (i'm under 16 so i don't have online banking so i need something to keep track of my money) Does anyone know of a good alternative? Thanks for all the help, also can you use the wireless charging dock with the silicone cases?

As a current iPhone user, I can't stand iTunes.

I feel ya iTunes and apple's "locked" ecosystem made me go android... Not to mention itunes shortcomings eg. missing tags, corrupt tags and album art etc...

Use doubleTwist, it allows syncing of iTune playlists (so you can continue to use iTunes to manage your library and playlists) and you can even sync you collection over WiFi!

I just use the default music player (Google Play Music). My library is uploaded there so I just press the pin button to download the albums I want to the phone/tablet when I'm on WiFi.

Then again I don't carry a lot of music on my phone, so maybe not the best example :P

I use to have a Nexus 7 and the problem i had with music, was some of my albums would just show as unnamed and stuff like that, yet any other device i have it's fine. Also my album artwork didn't show on all of my albums, which really annoys me so i was hoping double twist would fix this. Can you set it as your default go to music player?

You can also use iSyncr to sync between iTunes and Android. There's 2 components, one is an app on your phone and one is an app on your computer that scans iTunes for playlists and whatnot and allows you to sync. You can also setup auto-sync through the desktop app. I had problems with DoubleTwist and started using iSyncr and I had no problems whatsoever. The company that makes it also has a music player app called Rocket Music Player, which is also what I used since the playlists only seemed to work properly in Rocket Music Player.
