Recovering files from raw partiotion

Apologies in case this is wrong forum

 

 

I have a microSD card that somehow got corrupted, and when i run chkdsk from cmd, returns raw format, well I have to recover some files from it, but recuva wont recognize it for the mentioned reason.

 

Is there other (free) software that can recover from raw, or should I just format then try recuva?

 

what do you guys think?

Try PhotoRec, it ignores the FS and just looks for data. Have a good read up on the options, especially PhotoRec Step by Step...

Forgot to come back to say thanks, I managed to recover most files, all is good now:)
