Anyone with both a Xbox One and PS4?

Recommended Posts

I have a Titanfall Edition One and decided on it against the PS 4 because no titles on PS 4 seemed that intriguing. Does anyone have both and are there good titles for PS 4?

I have both consoles and I'm enjoying playing games on both, granted some of the titles Im playing on either system are multiplatforms, but Im still enjoying both..

IIRC there are 5 or 6 active posters who own both.

The only reason to own either right now is the exclusives and besides the launch titles the most recent incentives are Titanfall and inFamous for X1/PS4 respectively. They also have a small but growing download collection.

If those don't tickle your fancy you can survive with 1 console for a while longer as we head into the summer drought. The next few AAA releases (May-Sept), will be multiplatform: Wolfenstein, Evil Within and Destiny.

The Order and Quantum Break are the next AAA exclusives and neither has a solid date yet, but expected in Q3/4.

I think Sony are relying on TLoU HD to fill a gap. I think Driveclub will come before The Order as well.

1st year drought really is brutal. I would stick to one platform and pickup the other later. A lot of multiplatform crossover just now.

I have both but am not sure what your question is here? You say you did not pick up a PS4 because there are no good games, but then you are asking is there any good games on the PS4? Really? If that is honestly your question, only you can answer that for yourself by looking at the list of games that is available for the PS4 and seeing if they are games you want to play.

If you are asking me if I use my PS4 along with my One, the answer is a definitive yes. I use it more to game on then I do my One, as any multi platform game (that are on both consoles), I get on the PS4 since right now they perform better on it. I am not one of these people that insists on saying one controller is better than another either. I can use any controller just fine, so I am going to go where the better performance and resolution is, and right now that is with the PS4 (again, I am addressing multiplatform games).

I have both, but honestly, I don't find the PS4 games up my alley right now. I don't see any performance increase on the PS4 games as others seem to be able to, and the One is better for me in terms of an entertainment system right now.

This is my games shelf as it stands now, I also have Tomb Raider for PS4 but I lent that out to a friend.

I own both. I don't own very many games (3 for XB1, 2 on PS4) but both are very good. My XB1 is on practically all day as its my TV/media device but lately I have been playing Infamous SS on the PS4.

Got both.  dead rising 3, ryse, COD, Titanfall, peggle2, child of light on XO and beat all of them except for dead rising 3 so far and still playing titanfall a lot.  Pretty much all of them were good though cod was really only to hold me over on some multiplayer fps till titanfall came out and i wouldn't really recommend it lol.

Got Killzone, Infamous, Knack, ff14,Tomb Raider  and resogun and whatever the last psn freebie was but i havent even played it.  InFamous is prolly the only one i really feel good about telling people to get it.  Tomb Raider is pretty good but if you already played the other versions its not really worth it though it does look a lot better.   FF14 is pretty good if you are into MMOs.  Didnt like killzone much for some reason.   Will prolly pick up Bound by Flame this friday when its released on ps4 so hopefully that is good.

Also own a Vita and Wii U and I retired my 360 but my ps3 still gets used.

Use the vita mainlly for remote play while people are watching tv and on the wiiu I have a bunnch of games but the only real good ones are zelda windwaker remake and super mario 3d.

Both gals live happily side by side on my humble entertainment center. Got PS4 first on launch, debated two months whether to get X1 due to some personal reservations. While i use X1 about twice as much as PS4, both are great devices and i like them equally. If you are a passionate gamer and enthusiast, you will want both. I don't agree with Larry that multi-plats are for PS4, though they do look better on PS4 generally. There are tons of great games on both - i could list at least ten titles on PS4 that are great. Another plus is that my personal impression is PS4 is more reliable, which isn't surprising. Love X1 though i may, i believe she is following in her ancestors footsteps more than we'd like to contemplate...

Bottom line is if you have the resources, get a PS4, you're just denying yourself great experiences, there's plenty to enjoy. Just today we'll be getting The Show, which is PS4 exclusive (i mean no Xbox version), and i expect that to be awesome.

The pic below shows the situation as it is...both together, though X1 gets more usage. Except Kinect, that doesn't work anymore :s

Also a owner of both. I try and give both some love. finally got my act together and beat Ryse after not having played it since February or so...

But I've seem to have gravitated back towards my 360 as of late.

PS4 does have some decent games.

Resogun

Mercenary Kings

Definitely, inFamous:SS

MLB the show (well tomorrow)

Unpopular opinion i know, but Ryse stands as one of the best X1/PS4 games thus far for me...played the campaign three times over and clocked a few hours on horde mode (what they called "multiplayer"...).

It is definitely a reason to get an X1 if you're an enthusiast, if only for the awesomely over the top voice acting, but in OP's case: "you are a gamer pat! YOUR. PS4. IS. NEXT!!!"

That sticker crap on the bottom left-hand side of the screen would drive me bonkers!

Quoted you and it posted in the wrong thread :|

And yeah totally understand heh heh, those stickers can be annoying but i feel it's bad luck to remove them

Thanks for noticing though!

Heh. I do that sometimes when I have more than one neowin tab open.

I know some people who won't throw out packaging because they think they'll need it.

I'd suspect Kinect told you the latter because i do still have the box for that TV, even though i bought it ages ago. Alas, my Kinect doesn't work (yes, i like reiterating that point because it hurts :( )

I did have both, but I didn't get on with the Xbox's dodgy UI and the fact that Titanfall performance is pretty bad, it is running on Source engine and yet still has low fps and tearing. I wasn't happy with for the amount I spent on it that it couldn't keep up with the ancient source engine so sent it back.

The only one thing I miss from it is the youtube app.

So I game solely on the PS4 and aside from needing more games which will be resolved in time I am really happy. Multi platform games look and perform better, I prefer the controller over the Ones (although still less than the 360, that was near perfect IMO).

I just wish Sony were quicker with the updates, although 1.7 was a biggun.

I'm holding off on the XB1 for now, simply because I don't need both, and I really wanted to play Infamous!

I'll most likely wait for a Kinect-less version (Kinect really isn't my thing) although I have to say, the recent price drops have been really tempting!

I own both and have been happy so far with both thanks to continuous updates software wise.

Since this topic is solely about the good games on the ps4, I don't see the need to delve into why the consoles are bad or good.

So far, my favorites ps4 games are:

Resogun

Infamous: SS

There are a few more indie titles I like, but I already own them on the PC.

As others have said, just do your research regarding games coming to the ps4 and decide if they appeal to you. The first year for both consoles is going to be tough due to the small game library, but it will get better over time.

Yeah, so far I've only picked up a handful of games (Forza, Spartan Assault, Peggle 2 and Infamous), I'm mainly waiting for the big titles later this year (TLoS, whatever Halo title launches, Destiny, etc.)

I think they're pretty comparable, some things are handled better on one console vs. another (IE on the Xbone is so much better than the browser on the PS4, while the PS4 sharing stuff is awesome as heck, etc.) Personally I'd save up and get both (Good games either way), and since it's the start of the gen it's not like waiting is going to hurt, we'll have them for another 7 years or so.

Right now Project Beast is the only reason for me I'd pick a PS4 over on top of preference. Everything else is subjective to do with needs, but as far as games go I need the platform with all the souls games <3

Nice setup Neo, clean and minimal (Y) My favourite thing about the XB1 is the Xbox logo on all the hardware that lights up. Just wish the console was a tad smaller!
