Android Scripting or Macros

Hi friends, I have an HTC One M8 with Kit Kat and was wondering if there is a built in feature that will do a scripted action or macro.

 

An example would be, I use the Waze GPS. The GPS function on my phone runs in lower battery state, but when I use Waze on the road, I turn it to High Accuracy and then enable Waze. Is there a way to script that out so I don't have to manually do it? Thanks!

Not sure if it'll do what you need it to do specifically (I don't really use that sort of thing on my devices) but have you looked at Tasker? I hear a lot of good things about it for automation. Not exactly scripting (you can do that too, hell I have Python on mine for giggles), it's more of a "if this happens then do this" sort of thing, but may be worth a look.

In general they're not worth it. GPS is only used when needed anyway and you will maybe lose 2%-3% by leaving it on high accuracy at all times.

Tasker is awesome.  Takes a bit of learning, but if you want to script, it's perfect
