Nick H. Supervisor Posted May 14, 2014 Supervisor Share Posted May 14, 2014 I start with key skills in a bullet form, then employment with the list going from my previous job backwards, followed by education. But that's because I've now been working for a while in IT. If my previous work experience was in the form of bar work while I had been working on a masters degree (as an example) then I would probably put education first...unless the job I was applying for is bar work. Basically, it's about judging what is most imporant for the employer to see. Alwaysonacoffebreak
Personal detials-previous employment-education-skills That's how we are required to do it here anyway :) But I guess someways it would be better to up the skills before the previous employment detials for certain employers :)

Roger H. Veteran Posted May 25, 2014 Veteran Share Posted May 25, 2014 I do work or maybe just a quick skills summary at the top. Education is after that somewhere. My education in school sorta means Jack in today's world. Lol. Like yeah I got a degree but its just a piece of paper (and lots of money spent) at this point. If you are just starting out then yeah education is priority. However if you are more than 5yrs into any career then its not as important anymore unless continuing education is required for your trade or license.
