This addition was suggested by BudMan, who as you may know helps out a lot in that area and everything Networky :p He said that these types of support threads are posted in many different tech areas, because they actually do fall under Hardware Hangout, an OS forum, Network support forum etc. So now we have one place for all that.


And before ya'll go on about the Cloud not being like a VM, this is the definition of Virtualization:



Virtualization, in computing, refers the act of creating a virtual version of something, including but not limited to a virtual hardware platform, operating system, storage device, or network resources


So storage device or network resource can easily be interpreted as the cloud. There will be some who will disagree no doubt :p

Will try and spend some time hanging around in here to help out and give advice - work as a sysadmin in a reasonably large ESXi environment and have been working with VMware professionally for about 7 years now :)

nice this should be helpful for separating a lot of the VMware and Vcenter / HyperV stuff :D

Good idea. I can help a fair bit in this area but I think I was missing a lot of them with as they were being dotted all over the place.
