Low Profile Liquid Cooler? or Quiet Air cooler?

Recommended Posts

first of all I have this case http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16811163174 and currently have this cpu cooler http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16835118127

i'm thinking about looking for something a bit quieter. are there any liquid cpu coolers that would fit my case? or would i have to get a different case to go that route?

and if nothings available there do you guys have any recommendations for a quieter air cpu cooler?

Case link doesn't work.

But if that is a small case, you could always move the radiator to outside the case.

I don't think it will fit.  The radiator is attached to a 120mm fan, and it doesn't look like that case can accommodate that.

If you're not using any PCI ports, you could run the water cables out there, or cut it back a little to fit it on the top. But, you won't fit any water cooling inside that case.

I use the Noctua NH-L9 in my HTPC which is a similar Silverstone Micro-ATX case. It is much more silent than the stock cooler but not as silent as more efficient air coolers like the NH-U14S (which wouldn't fit such a case). Overall I'm satisfied with it. Make sure to select the right version (NH-L9i for Intel and NH-L9a for AMD).
