I personally don't think Microsoft will use Apple's naming method. And will go for something different entirely. What is your best suggestion for the name?

Mine is:

Surface Note

Surface Note

Play's on the Samsung Galaxy range

'Surface To Go' or 'Surface(insert screen size)' or possibly 'Surface Compact' might make good names

Hmm... I have a feeling Surface (insert screen size) would be it.

The Tiny Surface?

(Suggested because it seems Microsoft often comes up with ridiculous names for its products)

And I don't see why not. Familiarity is a good thing when a new product is introduced.

Nha, they aren't going to do that, to confusing for the future, when we get to the 8th generation.

I wouldn't have thought so, as by the 8th gen (lets say in theory 8 year's time) this one would be obsolete, although by then it would've probably been rebranded.

The rumors say it'll be tied to OneNote in some way, so why not Surface Note even with the Galaxy line using it?

I like this line of thought but can't see it being note related for the reason you listed or maybe its just crazy enough to work if we take it to the next level......Surface NotePad.  #mindblown
