6 brothers accused of abusing girl over decade

A North Carolina piano tuner charged in a nearly decade-long child sex abuse case told a church elder in 2012 that he and his brothers had molested a girl.

The man, Eric Jackson, agreed shortly thereafter to tell his story to the Perquimans County Sheriff's Office, said Elder Dan Horn, of Hope Baptist Church in Wake Forest, N.C. Horn said Jackson believed he needed to "walk in the light and confess his sin to the authorities."

"He sinned seriously," Horn said. "It was an evil that needed to be exposed."

Eric Jackson, 27, and five of his brothers - Jon, 25, Matthew, 23, Nathaniel, 21, Benjamin, 19, and Aaron, 18 - were arrested last week on charges they molested a young girl for almost a decade. It happened from the time she was 4 until she was about 14, according to Sheriff Eric Tilley.

Charges ranged from statutory rape to sexual assault and rape of the alleged victim, who is now 16, according to court documents and the sheriff.

The brothers are being held in Albemarle District Jail under secured bonds of up to $150,000.

Tilley confirmed one of the brothers came forward in December 2012 after speaking with a pastor, but he did not say which one.

The men's parents - John Jackson, 65, and Nita Jackson, 54 - also were charged with felony child abuse and released after posting a $15,000 secured bond. Tilley said they were charged because they were aware of the abuse and failed to take action. The Jacksons were indicted April 24, and the brothers were arrested May 5 and 6.

According to court records, the abuse stretched from January 2003 through December 2012.

When word spread of the police investigation, the family moved to Colorado, said Tilley, who added that the defendants agreed to return to North Carolina rather than await extradition.

I just do not understand why people do it, unless they are weak willied and want a power control.

If it was either a boy or girl, sex is used (rape) as a control.

I think when they are found guilty (if they are of course) they should have their crown jewels removed and made into Rat food.
