How low until you will get a Xbox one and ps4?

Recommended Posts

I really want a Xbox One but at this time I find it a little bit high for the price. I would like to know how low would the Xboe One and PS4 needs to be until you will buy it?

If you already have a gaming PC that you are comfortable with, or for that matter a previous generation console that you still enjoy, and you find that paying $400 for a new console is not desirable to you my advice is skip them altogether. Of course you could wait, but realistically neither will drop below $300 for at least another year, even two. It will be faster than the previous gen, but not that fast.

I'm not working on a price timeline, I'm working on a game timeline. I would probably go and buy a PS4 today if there were more games available.

Let some games like Watchdog and GTA 5 come out, then I'll consider buying it.

I already own an Xbox One. For the PS4, I'm waiting to get through the few exclusives I have on the PS3 first, at my current rate of playing it'll be a year or two :P

I had an Xbox one for a week before I returned it.  It was horribly unfinished and downright awful to simply operate.  That said they are pushing out updates very quickly so I have no doubt they will improve things by orders of magnitude quickly.

Given that it is now just a lower-specced PS4, I am just waiting for exclusive games.  Once they get some must have exclusives, i'll get one again.  For multi platform games i'm always getting those on PS4.

Same here. The only game I really want to play is Infamous, but I don't think I can justify $400 + $60 to play one game, when I still have a decent amount of games on the PS3. Once the exclusives start rolling, I will probably jump aboard.

If i had the money i would already have a PS4 however, i cannot justify the cost yet.

I'm waiting for must-buy exclusives. Destiny is taunting, so is Quantum Break. I shall wait for E3 to see the upcoming releases. Probably for next year or so.

Bought an Xbox One last week and love it.  The current price point doesn't bother me, I just wanted to save up before hand.

GF has a PS4 so I don't need one. X1 has hit an acceptable price point for me to buy one, there just needs to be a compelling game released for it first.

If it were backward compatible and could replace our 360, we'd already have one. But since it isn't, it'll take a new set of games to replace the ones we have to make us buy one.

It's sad. And I expect the decision will be a bit harder when Halo 5 releases. But then again I still haven't finished 4. Just not a lot of time available...

I'll get a PS4 as soon the next Final Fantasy game is released.

I was also planning buying an Xbox One for Killer Instinct but can't make a decision yet for that one.

in short... probably never.

this current XBox One/PS4 generation of video game consoles, since basically the early days of video games (i.e. NES or a bit before that (i was born late 1979 so i grew up in the earlier days of video games basically)) that i did not care about getting the next generation of consoles but i think it's due to $$$ vs enjoyment levels as i just don't get that much enjoyment from video games nowadays as i once did but i suspect it's mostly a age thing as i imagine there is plenty of people like me who mostly out grow video games as they get into their 30's (ill be 35 later this year) as i would say by the time i was around 30 years old i could tell my general interest in video games took a hit vs what it once was as finding games worth playing AND finishing is kind of like hitting the lotto especially on gaming series that where not established 10-15 years ago or so as new video games just look like the same ol crap all of the time and when you got to spend many hours on a typical game to finish it, it's just not worth it given nearly all games just don't deliver a high enough level of entertainment to actually want to play/finish them.

i tend to be all about movies nowadays (i been watching those quite a bit since 2003+ or so) as those consistently deliver solid entertainment and don't burn up a ton of time either as even if a movie is average that's still only a couple hours or your time.

I've owned an XB1 since launch & I'll buy my first Playstation ever this Christmas as some sort of PS4 + exclusive game bundle as the PS4 will only be used for exclusives games. XB1 will remain my main console.

I decided this time to wait until the "slim" or next version of these consoles come out before I would pick one up.
