weird problem with trying out custom themes for windows 7

hi ,i am facing a rather weird problem atm, i tried to install a custom theme for my pc but after patching , taking ownership and putting explorerframe and out of the 4 themes i installed, only 1 worked fine and the other 3 changed the window theme to classic windows...does any1 have exp with this prob and can give me some tips on what should i do?? rather new to the whole customizing..
