Scraggles Posted May 23, 2014 Share Posted May 23, 2014 So here I am... sitting at work... eating my lunch. Grilled chicken breast that I made last night... After cooking I always leave the grill on for a few more minutes to char whatever is on the grates for easy scraping... Well... I did that... but... never went out to clean the grill... To begin, I know things are MOSTLY ok because the house didn't burn down overnight. But I don't really know what to expect when I get home... I mean, I believe I left it on high overnight... Think I'll see anything bad happened to my grill? I mean.. my BRAND NEW grill? I just bought the damn thing a week ago. I'm stuck here for another 3 hours... No one I can call. No point either. If I did leave it on, without a doubt it is out of gas. I left work this morning, at 7am and I didn't smell anything that caught my attention. I hope it is outside? You say grill, do you mean oven? Point being, if it is a gas oven or gas grill and you for some reason used a gas grill inside your house..... be vary cautious that the flame/pilot light could have gone out and filled the house with gas. SO they can cut the lock on my security gate, and then tell me that no, the house has not sustained any damage? I know the house is fine as I would know by now if it had caught fire. WORST case scenario my grill is a puddle in the back of my house. Best case scenario, I'm wrong and I DID remember to turn it off and just forgot to clean it. If the grill sustained any damage I would return it for a refund while you still can... As the grill should be capable of being run at its top temps all day everyday... I wonder if they make timers for that. Like, after you've finished cooking, some sort of device you can set to 5 or 10 mins and then it will cut the gas.
