Emoticons disappearing

Why are more and more of the emoticons disappearing ?

 

I've been noticing this over the last few years.

 

Now the cat and dog have gone. :/

 

Surely these do not slow down Servers that much ...

Don't forget about the pint of beer smiley, which I have mentioned quite a few times in the past.

They probably got censored too. I noticed the punch in the face one gone a couple of weeks ago. :/

'mystery solved' and the 'wizard' gif is gone too.

 

No more cake either.

That isn't the one I was talking about. The one I was talking about was literately just a pint of beer with no animation.

I had noticed, site seems to be quicker to load in some areas, but now it feels like something's missing and I can't quite put my finger on it......

I actually removed all (or most of) the MSN ones we had, and a few dupes (leaving in the most used, where we had two) an example is one beer emotion instead of two. We had about 120 I think lol, and they are not cached, meaning a proper hit on our servers for each time the editor is loaded..
