Photoshop - Split Lots of Pages in Half

Question

I have a PDF file which has a series of images in it, which form a book.

However the author has decided (moronically) to set the PDF file up so each "page" or "image" has two pages of images on it, like this:

Clicking on "Images" only shows the back cover of the book, so not great there.

I would like to crop each side of the page to the same amount of pixels.  Is there a quick way of doing this?

I have about 2 books, each with about 30 pages each.

I find Photoshop hard to use as I learnt on Paint Shop Pro where the controls seem much more intuitive, so any advice can be dumbed down :)

Thanks

Hmm, although I don't need the images re-sizing, just splitting in half.

I have manually cropped some but I am used to moving the crop box rather than the image (which in Photoshop works the opposite way round, in addition when I grab the image to move it, I end up tilting it instead!).

I did try and create an action but it ended up cropping the image in the middle not on one side.

I would 'print' each page as a JPEG/PNG/TIFF image first, then batch crop, then print back to one PDF file. See http://francoismalan.com/2013/01/how-to-batch-separate-crop-multiple-scanned-photos/ for more info.

Edit:

- this will print to JPEG etc.: http://sourceforge.net/projects/imageprinter/

- this will split/combine PDF files: http://portableapps.com/apps/office/pdftk_builder_portable

Have used both myself and can confirm they work great.
