I feel this like desperate to gain more people to buy this console... however Nintendo is about to do the last move and if fails when Zelda Wii U be released.. then the Nintendo Fusion console I'm sure will appear.

+1 this is them admiting there console sucessors to the GC aren't up to par (controller wise at least).

i can't see the tweet or the picture due to being at work.

is this a new gamecube style controller that's wii u compatible or is nintendo releasing an adapter to plug controllers into?

either way. great news as i always loved the gc controller

Why? just why?

this is pointless. the WiiU pro controller is far superior anyway.

I'm guessing this at least won't have any games requiring the usage of this controller. the WiiU is already the console that REQUIRES the usage of the most different controllers, especially if you want to play multiplayer.  some games require this controller, some require that controller and some require yet another.

I hope this is a sign that Gamecube games will be coming to the Virtual Console.  I hope they do better with the VC and try to add all the games that they can, licensing issues aside.

It's really for Smash Brothers tournaments because the Gamecube controller is the most popular controller when playing Brawl.
