Rappy Veteran Posted May 31, 2014 Veteran Share Posted May 31, 2014 Rhys Ifans ("Elementary," "The Amazing Spider-Man") has signed on to play the father of Johnny Depp's Mad Hatter in James Bobin's "Alice in Wonderland" sequel for Disney Pictures. Ifans is set to play Zanik Hightopp, a role Mark Rylance had previously been in talks to play. Ifans is actually four years younger than Depp in real life, but with both covered in makeup and prosthetics it won't matter. Mia Wasikowska and Helena Bonham Carter reprise their roles as Alice and the Red Queen respectively, whilst Sacha Baron Cohen will play a villain named Time.
