...Patiently waiting for the "post your own spatula" thread.

Sorry, this has to be the dumbest subject on Neowin.  I haven't needed or touched a bottle opener in nearly 20 years.  Except for (some) wine bottles, everything is twist off.

Americans aren't even allowed sharp bottle tops now? I lol'd.

I got this from a Kickstarter project. It's not that great but it does do the job and is a bit different. It's called a Beer Tusk and is more designed for shotgunning beer cans but opens bottles too.

No, but bottle caps are rare if not non existent there due to some silly law that says all drink containers should be openable without tools, that or just lazyness...

Cool. Mine will satisfy both threads then.

And its good to hear that your Busch Light, Budweiser, and Coors don't require a bottle opener. Those of us who prefer beers that aren't traditionally drank from a plastic Solo cup still need tools to remove the caps.

I do not drink alcohol but when I need to open a bottle I use these.

(Y)

I just use a normal bartenders opener.  Just a solid metal plank machined out to open bottles.

I've had this one since 1998 (possibly earlier)

Was when I use to be a barman (bartender) these were given away as a promotion, so I took one
