ultimate99
I have win7 installed in hyper-v, is it possible to have it detect my phone? the reason is that my phone's driver is not supported in win 8.1.
Squirrelington
Sounds like you're looking to pass a usb device or other peripheral through to the VM. I am not sure if you can or not but I would like to know this as well. Could be useful for getting rid of our old XP boxes at work where I still need to use TRAVAN and SLR5 drives, and for ease of use, transfer the restored data over the network. Xerxes
I know it is possible (I have done it in VirtualBox) but not sure how on Hyper-V. There should be some form of USB passthrough available I'd imagine? but a quick Google search is suggesting USB passthrough is not allowed in Hyper-V, a third party addon may be required? probably better to wait for someone with more knowledge on Hyper-V to give us a more definitive answer :p
