Wow, all of the entries are really good! I voted for Warwagon's though, expected to be Warwagoned but I was pleasantly surprised. Good job everyone!

Voted War. I like Snoopy's too. Not so much the GCS one; it's too dark.

Well, the emphasis of the theme was light wasn't it? Bah whatever.

Yes; light, not dark.

I look forward to your submission for June.

Please can we all remember to vote in the tiebreaker thread as well :)

I'm confused, how did we get this months theme, if nobody won last month? I still like the way it was before. You win you pick a topic, and not before. I mean some people may even vote for someone body based on the topic they plan to choose for next time.

IIRC there was another tie before that, so that's how it got sorted?

i'm sensing a lack of continuity on the Neowin photo competitions

Wait, you do realized you WERE actually warwagoned? In the sense, that you clicked thinking "I'm gonna get warwagoned" But you click and found nothing" Warwagoning at it's finest if you ask me

Let me explain. The winner of April's competition would have selected a theme, and then the winner of May's competition selects a theme, April's theme is used in June, May's theme is used in July etc.

This allows for quick handovers, problem is I hadn't realised there was a tie last month ^_^;

Woot lotsa voters for this one!

Now if we could get everyone who votes to participate in the contest as well :p

If I had a nice camera (I'd love to own one), then I absolutely would.

Dude most of us (the ones who frequently participate in the contest) have submitted photos we took with our smartphones!

I dislike quoting kenrockwell, the dudes a click ###### (and I would be too given the chance lol )  but this is word a read:

It would have to be a really good photo with my cellphone for me to submit it, I have standards

Heh, I didn't realise that.

I took this with my phone...

And while I don't think it's technically a "good" photo, I still quite like it, with the birds flying by, and the moon in the distance. It's from the first night in our new home a couple of months ago, so it's a good memory for me.

Maybe I'll try and get involved in the next challenge, though most of the photos I take are not what you would call "family friendly"

Most smartphones have DSLR features such as aperture, ISO, Exposure, etc. which you can adjust via buttons or camera settings.  I have these features on my smartphone.

That is actually very good composition in that photo!

And yeah I know what you mean, most of my photos taken with my phone are shall me say "my own" :shifty:
