trek
The latest MBP Retina 13" with haswell is nice; lighter than the T420 and you can run windows if you really need to (I doubt you will)
tsupersonic
The latest MBP Retina 13" with haswell is nice; lighter than the T420 and you can run windows if you really need to (I doubt you will) Just got a MBP Retina 13" and it is really nice. Got the 8GB RAM/256 GB SSD version with all sorts of discounts so it wasn't all that bad. I wasn't particularly looking for a Mac, but that Bestbuy student deal (among other discounts) made it really appealing, and cheaper/better than any of the Windows ultrabooks. Got a copy of Parallels 9 student version for $40, now just need to find a copy of Windows 7/8, just in case I need it.
ultimate99
What do you think of refurbed Oct 2012 mbp? Outdated as we're almost in 2015 and Mac Rumors has the 13" MBP under "caution" status in buyer's guide? http://store.apple.com/ca/product/FD212LL/A/refurbished-133-inch-macBook-Pro-25ghz-Dual-core-Intel-Core-i5-with-retina-Display
