I was thinking, my computer got pretty old: "IMac"

So I was thinking, should I get the Alineware with 2k$? Yes, yes, I know, with that money, I could make a "Killer Computer".

Or please, just give me some tips on how to make a really good compuer.  :D

An Alienware, or any top of the line Clevo. I've had my trusty Core 2 Quad nVidia GTX280M Clevo M571TU for three years, it's still solid! Upgrades aren't as easy on gaming notebooks (or cheap) but they do last, and are easier to upgrade than any Apple soldered-in disposable crap.

I went with an Alienware. But quick note, DO NOT buy them at the prices that are on the website. Usually if you give them a call and BS a little they'll give you some pretty nice discountsor look on sites like notebookreview for the best deals. For example, my laptop on AWs website was $2400 and I gave them a call and asked for a discount, BSed a little, and eventually they knocked it down to $1999 with a 2 year warranty and accidental damage coverage.

There are a couple of reasons why I didn't go with Asus:

1. I've never ever had a problem with Dell's premium support (the one you get with any alienware, business, XPS etc purchase). They have never questioned me for any part I've ever had to replace and at one time, because I dropped my laptop down some stairs, they had to pretty much replace most of the parts. That's also one of the reasons why I suggest paying $50 extra for the accidental warranty, they can and will replace your entire laptop if it came down to that. Dell's basic support may be a giant piece of ######, but their premium one is top notch.

2. One of my friends had an Asus gaming laptop (didn't live in the US) and he had touchpad issues, it took Asus 3 weeks to replace the touchpad and he had to send his laptop in. Dell will either overnight you the parts and send out a tech the next day to fix it. Alternatively you can let the support guy know that you want to replace the part yourself and then they'll just overnight it to you. Opening your dell laptop and changing parts out DOESN'T void your warranty, as long as you don't break anything while doing so.

If you are looking for gamin laptop go for alienware but still i would consider custom made PC.
