Andre S. Veteran Posted June 5, 2014 Veteran Share Posted June 5, 2014 I've settled my choice of smartphone on the Nexus 5 and I'm now looking for the best carrier to choose (in Quebec). I'd like to have 1GB of data (but more is always good) and at least unlimited calls nights/week-ends. I spent some time going through all of them yesterday night and made this little chart, all for a Nexus 5 with at least 1GB of data: Note that this only includes the stated price of the phone and the stated monthly price of the plan. I have not dug into any extra fees. So far, quite clearly Fido, Koodo and Vid?otron are the best. Fido is the least expensive, Koodo has no contract, and Vid?otron offers 2GB of data (there's no 1GB plan) but will end up more expensive especially if I keep the phone for longer than 2 years (but prices could change by then as well). These are all on different networks AFAIK so how does that factor play in and is there anything else I should know about that I'm not taking into consideration? Thanks.
