patseguin Global Moderator Posted June 5, 2014 Global Moderator Share Posted June 5, 2014 In my home made machine and to date I've had 2 nVidia 670's in SLI and any game can fun at max settings. This is the longest I've gone since upgrading my video cards so I wonder if dual 670's are still goo. Would a similar current generation card in SLI give me a significant performance boost? Andre S. Veteran Posted June 5, 2014 Veteran Share Posted June 5, 2014 It's about the same as 2 GTX 760s in SLI which is about the same as a GTX Titan. That's still plenty fast in most scenarios. Of course you could upgrade to 2 GTX 780 Tis, but is that worth the tremendous cost? That's up to you.
Astra.Xtreme
670 SLI will outperform a Titan until you get into resolutions over 1080p. So if you game at high res's, upgrading might be a good option. If not, you'll be perfectly fine for quite a few years yet.
Jose_49
Those things can handle Max with 60 FPS with ease @ 1080p. I'd suggest to wait for next year to upgrade to the 9xx series when Witcher 3 and similar games come out. I mean, Witcher 3 is going to break machines apart, and next year there will be many new 4K monitors at an affordable price.
