Can't you do a custom install and point it elsewhere?

It is the 107MB installer of the latest iTunes for Windows. It is an automatically process.

When you said you renamed the folder, which one? Rename the Apple folder to something else and rerun the installer.

He didn't say that he renamed the folder.... he said he tried to delete the folder.

Try clicking the advanced button under the security tab when looking at the properties of this folder.  Take over the ownership (at the top of the screen).  Try and delete the folder.
