Opera will import settings from other browsers without asking

Question

Import from other browsers on first run

We want the conversion from other browsers to Opera to be as convenient as possible, and with this build we?re doing a silent import on first run (or if you have an empty profile). The feature looks up your current default browser, and then imports passwords, cookies, history and bookmarks to get you up and running with Opera without having to start from scratch.

I wonder who thought this would be a good idea.

Is it really hard to pick which browser you want to import settings from on first start? I haven't heard any complaints about this being an issue on any browser.

The new Opera is terrible. They took Chromium and changed a few things just to make it look different, and made it worse. Example: holding control and pressing back in Google Chrome opens a new tab with that page. Opera ignores the control button and just goes back one page.
