patseguin Global Moderator Posted June 10, 2014 Global Moderator Share Posted June 10, 2014 I followed a guide last night which basically mounted my install DVDand made a new ISO of Windiws 8.1 with update 1 and all other patches. I then made a bootable USB stick out of it. My question is how can my new ISO file size be smaller than my Windows 8.1 ISO size? It's about 1 GB smaller than the regular 8.1 ISO. Is that normal when making slip streamed ISO's or did I maybe do something wrong?
