Printers still showing in list when server is offline

Hello Friends,

 

I hope I have an easy one for you. I just decommissioned a 2003 Server that was functioning as a Print Server, meaning we were sharing printers off of it. Before decommissioning it, we migrated all the printers on to a 2008 Server and everything is working great.

 

Now that the 2003 Server is offline and off to the scrap heap in the sky, the Printers still show up if you search for printers via the list. Is there a way I can make it so that these printers do not show up any more?

Your AD should of pruned them on its own.. You can adjust pruning via group policy

Or you could of used print management to prune them as well.
