Hi,

Google Drive randomly deleted all my files. I have no idea how it happened, I removed one file, it removed all of them.

I restored them from trash, but now Google Drive is duplicated all my files, and randomly syncing files here and there. It's completely messed up!!!

Anyone else having this issue?!!!

Well,

I let it do what it wanted overnight (duplicating and syncing that everywhere).

Today I went through all folders and files (such a hassle) and deleted all duplicates, taking the chance it would cause more problem).

It now all seems to be back to normal. Assuming it doesn't change again or I didn't lose anything. Would still like to know WTF happened.

Random guess here, but do you have multiple devices syncing to Drive? If they are all trying to get synched that could cause some problems, but I've never had issues deleting files from my phone and having it do anything crazy

Google drive has always been a mess, IMO.

I've had that happen a couple times and thus, I quit using it!

I'm inclined to believe that what Anibal P said might be correct.
