8.1 Couple of 8.1 questions

Hey guys, ny gf has got the 630 with 8.1 as an upgrade from mt old 920 which as well as a recently cracked screen was getting a bit tatty.

there's a couple of things that seem to be different (read: worse) on 8.1

the first one is the lack of Facebook chat integrated in the messaging hub, is this something that needs setting up or is it not on 8.1 - i know Facebook now needs the app installed to add stories to the news feed in the people hub

the second is a more specific problem, the phone didn't find the mms settings for her Uk Vodafone contract. Is there an app similar to the Nokia access point that can add then (the access point app doesn't work on 8.1)

1. I think it was deliberately done by Microsoft to focus more on FB app.

2. You need to wait for WP8.1 roll out so that Nokia now Microsoft update their access point app to work with WP8.1.

Cheers for the reply, im a little worried about the 8.1 update coming to my phone (1020) there's a couple of cool things on my gfs 630 but the move to xbox music, which performs terribly on my current 8.0 phone compared to music & videos, is enough to make me want to not update!

I will admit at first the things that were removed or relocated in 8.1 were rather annoying but you get over them very quickly and the update is actually rather nice. I am still looking forward to the changes that are coming in the future for 8.1 with the lock screen animations and whatnot that you will be able to get. However, i can say i am a little disappointed that they have yet to release any sort of demo app or anything for those of us on the Dev Preview.
