A plurality of voters think Barack Obama is the worst president since World War II, a new poll says.
According to a Quinnipiac University poll released Wednesday, 33 percent of voters think the current president is the worst since 1945.

Worst congress since ever.  Not the president's fault - you can't say someone isn't doing a good job while at the same time preventing them from doing their job.

while i agree with the headline i have serious doubts about this statistics... (i also count reagan clinton and kennedy the best not in a special order because it was different times for each)  but if so many think obama is by far the worst they should have chosen the possibility to elect a much better and stronger leader in nov 2k12. the chance was there and it was historic. while mitt warned everyone about russia being geopolitical foe n1, obama was openly promising putin more "flexibility" after the election!

you get what you vote for....

Poll doesn't count when you asking only Racist bigots their opinions on the president.

33%? That's nowhere close to even being half. How does that make him the worst?

Could it be that the average American has finally realized that his empty promises were pointless?  There may be hope for us all yet!

Quinnipiac University's in Connecticut (Conn. is Democrat territory), and polls its are actually rather easy on Democrats as they over-sample them. They don't sample what you presumed.

What's interesting that the percentage total for both Worse and Best for Obama tallies to a total of 41% where's the other 59%?

Why is the total for Worse across all presidents is 100% (same for Best)?

The survey was conducted June 24-30 with 1,446 registered voters on land lines and cellphones. The margin for error is plus or minus 2.6 percentage points.

That's a pretty small amount of people to poll.

It's about right for a properly sampled poll. All more samples do is narrow the margin for error, and at 2.6% it wouldn't change the results.

By interpreting the text of the article, this thread could quite easily also be titled "Obama fourth best President since WWII". But I guess that particular 'spin' wouldn't fit with this poster's 'agenda'.

Thirty-five percent of voters said Ronald Reagan was the best president since World War II, receiving nearly twice as many votes as any other former president. Bill Clinton came in second place at 18 percent, while John F. Kennedy came in third with 15 percent of the vote and Obama came in fourth with 8 percent saying he was the best.

do you know why american's hate their presidents after a while? its bacuase the system of how politics happens is fundementally flawed and money talks, too much in politics. Also the US is too big for its own good, each state has its traditions, politics and economy; which realistically making one man as the president a target for as long as states' and its demands are going to counter each other; this is why this Dem. Rep polarity exists; fundementally most americans disagree on a lot of topics, and solutions cannot be one size fit all.

article is a big pile of &*%*&%*^*&^*&^*^!!! why?  Partisan politics....because if Romney had been elected and we had the same conditions we have now we would be saying the same thing!!!   I bet anyone when the next election happens, whoever is president, republican or democrat, will have the same problems and popularity that Obama has now.  Until we get Congress moving again there will be no end to the blame game.  I will give Obama credit, weather right or wrong, illegal or legal, at least he is trying to get things done by bypassing Congress when he can.  O crap soap box is cracking so I will get off it now!  :)

what i wish would happen in this country is people decide who to vote for based on facts instead of false promises and the romanticism behind voting. people get SO swooned over and patriotic over voting that it negatively affects their decisions. A good looking, charismatic man in a suit can sell you anything.

how about we eliminate campaigning, and financial contributions that go w/ it and stop the media bias that plagues the process. Also, why dont we reign in presidential powers and enact real responsibility for the actions of those in power.

oh, and only have 2 choices for candidates is insulting. sure, there's other people running for president, but they never have a chance. Our two party, two candidate system is a joke.

douche and turd, folks, douche and turd.

"and Richard Nixon was in third place with 13 percent of the vote."

And . . . I still feel that Nixon doesn't deserve all of the hatred.

Obama has disregarded the constitution several times. Congress has nothing to do with that.

And get rid of the ######ing utterly ridiculous campaign ads. NONE of them ever tell you anything about the person they want you to vote for it, instead its always "LOOK AT THIS OTHER CANDIDATE, LOOK HOW BAD HE IS" and then you see a nice sunny background with the candidate the ad was for smiling and telling you that they're on your side. K great, thanks for wasting 30 seconds of my life.

My favorite are the little signs you see around here whenever its voting season and they all have a similar theme of..."VOTE YES TO 1125 IF YOU WANT TO PROTECT SCHOOLS" It tells you absolutely nothing about the bill, nothing about what it will do, it just has languages that catches your eye and makes you feel good about voting for it.
